Xero → Asana Report Automation
Built an automation using Make that triggers when a task is marked complete in Asana and automatically retrieves transaction-level financial data from Xero. Since the Xero API does not support the General Ledger Detail report directly, I replicated it using the Account Transactions report as a substitute. The data is formatted to closely match Xero's downloadable CSV report (as seen in the UI) and is then uploaded as an attachment to the completed Asana task. The scenario includes authentication handling, data transformation, CSV generation, and automated file uploads.
